If you’re wondering when to change your oil, you’re not alone. Our tire and auto service professionals recommend changing your vehicle’s motor oil on a pretty regular basis in order to maintain the life and longevity of your car. As far as how many miles between oil changes, we don’t recommend changing your oil more frequently than every 3 months or 3,000 miles, unless otherwise specified by your vehicle’s manufacturer guidelines.
To maximize the life and performance of your vehicle, oil changes among other routine checks, depending on the time and season. Some of these parts of your vehicle should be checked regularly, and others only in the long run. Be sure to follow your vehicle’s maintenance schedule and service interval record.
A check engine light can come on from a number of things from a minor issue, such as a faulty gas cap, or it could mean something more serious, such as a misfiring engine. Bring it in for an inspection and we can get rid of it in no time.
